These days cloud-based services and cloud-composed applications are more trendy than ever before because of the agility of speed; large enterprises are also trying to leverage these services to reach the speed of startup companies.

Many times we blindly trust the services; they must be reliable if multi- million users are using them daily!

But does anyone knows that the service that they provide goes through how many layers?

I think they trust blindly in the cloud, but do you know what is under the cloud?

If you fly above the cloud, can you fly through a cloud layer blindly if you have uncertainty about what is under it?

The same as what most companies do without having any glue, what they will face. They have strong trust!

Every day you can read another breach on "bleeping computer" what happened with a service provider. Do you realize if your vendor used those APIs and services?

I have bad news: It is the same as the chance increase for a genetic disease as we have an enormous family tree. The math is exponential growth as we add layers; as we use a cloud service, we think it is one layer, but it can be several!

And what the hackers do! Same as fishermen. Where do they go fishing? Where they meet a large volume of fish.

The real problem none of the companies able to mitigate these risks as no transparent risk management available what covers all layers!

This is the reason why I believe over time there will be significant value for those systems where we have clear picture about the risks!

Software 2.0 will be also part of these solutions, where we can bake full images that covers every piece of code. AI can continuously able to scan for new vulnerabilities.

This way the future is more around those fully integrated, distributed, resilient solutions where we can mitigate the risk end-to-end.

Lean systems has the possibility to eliminate all components what not required and has the possibility of vulnerabilities.

Think it over how calm you can sleep with those services what you assembled to your solution!
