We hear several times the term: Work-Life Balance. This is conceptually wrong, as humans' goal is, in rare cases, the work; the reward is the goal primarily!
This is why I would instead state:
Wealth-life balance!
Especially when we are talking about retirement! If we are more cautious, we start thinking about self-care and creating wealth as part of it!
For this reason, we need to decide what our ultimate goal is! People take training and holiday travels, which consume time and money, but how they build support for the overall goal is financial independence, where we control our own time and can spend money and time freely.
Wealth also supports the life - as with wealth we have extra access to life extension products and services, so we have a better chance to live longer and in a healthy life!
The choice is yours!
Where you spend your energy and money on your ultimate goal or for temporary entertainment! There is no problem with either; the only importance is to have a clear picture of your decisions and their consequences!
When you reach the first stage of FIRE (Financial Independent Retire Early), you will spend nearly the same time on your investments as on regular work. Still, the good news, your effort and time requirements will dramatically decrease over time, so you will have more free time than you can imagine!
You can focus on those topics that are important to you!
