This week I found an interesting article about Singularity. The report told we only have 30 years until we reach the singularity. Why this all important?
Just imagine how it will change everything in the world where we live today?
I expect more than 95% of the population will lose their jobs at that time.
This whole situation will not only change every day but also replace politics. The companies which developing AI will own the businesses which make GDP or income. Just check how the technology companies value grows over time.
I think this problem is more social than economic. Majority of the population must enhance their behavior, how to use their time.
The shifting from the current work market will be catastrophic.
Today we have lack of workforce in many fields, but as AI and robotics (in general Industry 4.0) start replacing work, we will again have an oversupply on the job market, which will decrease the salaries on many fields. This effect will kill motivation, which will be depending on company organization culture how they will handle the new situation. Over time this will worst and worst.
The world will have two ways:
One is if people start a war, as prior in history. In this situation, the population will dramatically decrease.
The other is if we could grow up to the new challenge, and we able to use our time. Just imagine if you could spend more time with the new generation to teach them to be human! Families can spend more time together.
For the next generations, we must learn how we could live together and evolve to the next level of culture, which ready for the AI era.
Can't wait to see when will a company or a government will come up with a realistic solution to these problems.
