First of all: the following article shows my personal opinion, and it doesn't have any relation to my workplace!

This week COV-19 news comes from every channel. In an ideal balance, it is essential to inform the audience, but I think all channels have outperformed the goal!

These days we can see how governments, institutions, citizens prepared for unusual situations. The question always the same, as with every unpleasant thing: What conclusions do we draw from what happened?

We can remember the quote from the Matrix:

"Every decision has consequences!"

And here we come to my thoughts!

Preparation for every situation is prevention!

Half a year ago, I found a new function in my Garmin sport watch. It shows what my Fitness age is. That time it was 69 years. It was terrible to see compared to my 40 physical years. That time there was no news about COV-19. I started to do exercises for two days a week. Later I found the presentation of David A. Synclair, who recently wrote a book called Lifespan. That time I decided to take Vitamins which essential for a healthy life. I started to do unpleasant exercises, like morning bathing with cold water. The human body has several protective functions which degraded because of our abundant life. When we cold a little, we turn on the heating. Our body is less and less protective for the outside world.

I'm not afraid of the Virus! Many of my friends telling me this behavior is irresponsible. I think fear doesn't help! The love much more!

This morning I have seen a Facebook post of a Hungarian actor - Árpa Attila. He offered to help do the shopping for the older generation. This is more love and caring than not to go anywhere! Many people suggesting not to go outside! Stay home! They are telling this is responsibility!

Let me show another aspect of this thinking!

We can slow down the spread of the Virus! This helps to remain the healthcare operational, and we will save lives, but the Virus will stay for a longer period. Did anyone think that over, how it affects the economy?

It is not a surprise most of the Hungarian labor force living from a day to another day. They don't have any savings for critical situations. If most people stay home, many people will bankrupt! For example, restaurants will close. They will fire partly or wholly the workforce who collect the dishes, clean and prepare the foods. Hairdressers, cosmeticians, barbers, and many more who started a private business. All of them will bankrupt. How this number correlates to the number of causalities of the Virus?

For this reason, I think the British government made the best decision, how they prepared for the situation. Of course, they have a different level of healthcare compared to the Hungarian one! But this is the difference between a planned strategy and hasty actions.

I hope individual citizens and governments will learn from this situation! Financing mass sport (Watching a Football match) is not equal to do physical activity. Taking drugs is not equal to take daily vitamins and minerals. Building sports stadiums less usable than having professional healthcare for a wider range of citizens.

I think in the future, we will have the same Virus spreads like this COV-19. We need to build up our immune system. We need to protect those who have a risk! Those who have no risk, it is better if they go through the infection and build protection. Same as a child's immune system. If we protect them from everything, they will be sick later. I hope we will make the right conclusion, and we will concentrate more on prevention!

"Hard times always show how individuals able to solve problems!"
