Those who know me personally are aware that I have used Apple products for a very long time.
I have always been more rational than just being radically hypnotized by a brand. That was the same reason I moved to Android several years ago and then back to iOS.
Again, a change has occurred, but this time it is more fundamental. During these periods, my Apple notebook remained constant; only the configuration changed.
This season will be the one when I will move completely out of the ecosystem, including iCloud and all the Apple-related services.
I did my phone switch about one week ago. What I noticed, I'm consuming less time on my mobile, and my mobile setup is more conscious.
Even without a corporate MDM, I can better separate my work life from my personal life. Including the split between the SIM card.
I didn't regret the switch; however, I'm using a temporary phone, which is a three-year-old used device that I purchased for 200€.
It is performing better than my previous iPhone 15 Pro Max. While I feel more secure from outside threats.
The notebook switch will be even more impactful, as I'm using my notebook more for work than entertainment.
Once the journey starts, I will write about it.
For my audience, I have the same message: dare to challenge past norms; that's how you will find better solutions!
